so, today we are embarking on a new journey-potty training. i would love any advice of things that work with your kids, and am trying to be patient and kind to my little one. she loves the idea of princess panties, and even more the idea of getting m&ms when she tinkles, but hasn't actually gone in the potty. i know it's only been a few hours, but i sure hope that this is not an indication of how it's going to go. please feel free to post any ideas that might work.

did you get our potty training in a day book? be patient. have her drink lots of juice, the more opportunities to 'go' the quicker and easier it will be. and no juice or any liquids 2 hours before bedtime, she'll never we the bed, like ever! my girls have done it once each but it was way after being trained and they were sick... seriously call me! i would love to support you. i cried for days with the whole process. it sucks! but once its done its heaven! i hated diapers. so it was amazing to not deal with that anymore...! luv u liss... feel free to call!
Oh! Hitting that fun stuff:) Wish I could give you advice... but I have yet to train our little girl. The boys loved the reward of m&ms though. I will be praying and call too if you need to cry or just laugh! It is truly amazing when they get it... miss you! Luv-Linds
We used a sticker chart for Shelbi. Everytime she went potty she got to put a star on her chart and she loved it.
But to be totally honest... when she was absolutely ready (and you'll know when Kate is ready) we rolled up our sleeves, got out the cleaning supplies, and went a whole weekend with panties only!!! She did not like the feeling of being wet, and poopy (athough it took a little longer to "poop train") Looking back, I was using pull-ups and for Shelbi it really prolonged the whole event, because it still allowed her times of going in her pants, and nothing really big happened with that. But, as soon as she would potty in her panties and then feel the wet on her legs and stuff... she really didn't like that and it made her want to go on the potty.
Just thoughts! I will keep checking back though, for more advice. I've got 2 coming up in the ranks and they are totally different kids!
Good Luck! Go Potty Go!
